Levi's been dying for a "real" camera. We were sick of the fuzzy pictures our little digital was taking. His birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and he finally got his wish. Between family and saving our money, we got a new Nikon D40 which we got to experiment with a little bit this weekend. He loves it and can't wait to take pictures of the baby when she comes in 17 weeks (but who's counting!)

new cameras are so much fun, especially a DSLR. It is amazing how fast they are and the quality you can get. I have a canon XSi and love it. Don't be afraid to play with the manual settings (aperature, shutter speed, ISO, etc.). You can really get some amazing pictures that way.
