Levi making goodies for neighbors and friends on Christmas Eve
Dad even joined in... B's first picture by the tree...in honor of Aunt Karan
We weren't much for picture taking this year, but we had a nice, relaxing Christmas with my family. I was very sad to see them go, they were a huge help when they were here. They helped me with some organization and cleaning and we had all my Christmas decorations taken down by noon on Sunday. Thank you, thank you.
Our New Year's Eve/Day will be spent doing our 4th chemo treatment, so not looking forward to bringing in the New Year that way. But at least in 2010 we should be able to say Levi is cancer free!! We have that to look forward to as well as my brother coming home from his mission on April 24th. We had a great time talking to him on Christmas Day and can't wait for the next 4 months to fly by.
I also never updated on Levi's third treatment. It was pretty rough, but he was feeling pretty good by Christmas, so we were thankful he was able to enjoy the holiday. This treatment he received calcium-magnesium before and after his treatment in hopes of alleviating some of the "cold" side effects in his throat. He thinks it maybe helped a little bit, so he wants to try it again...it definitely doesn't hurt. We are also now proud owners of our very own IV pole, so if you ever find yourself in need of one, you know where to come :) He had an in-home nurse come and start an IV during his treatment just to get some fluids in him since he has such trouble drinking. Since he can only drink warm drinks during and right after treatment, this year's Christmas gift theme for Levi was warm drinks. He received tons of hot chocolate, apple cider and Starbucks cards...and even some hand warmers. It was all given with love and we are so appreciative. However next Christmas I hope we don't have to have any "chemo" themed gifts! Despite our unexpected trials in '09, we are so blessed and have so many reasons to be thankful. Our definite number one being our beautiful, healthy baby, Brecken.

Hi Kelsie and Levi!
This is Dan Gilman, who you might remember from back in Provo, and the philippines! I just spoke with Johnny Gray, and he told me about Levi's cancer diagnoses and treatment. I was so sorry to hear about it, damn near broke my heart, but am happy to hear that he is doing better. I want you to know that you are in my prayers, and that I am thinking about you, and hoping that you have a speedy recovery!
What great news that you have a new baby girl! She is beautiful, many congratulations to you both!
