Kankle Update

I'm sitting here bored, because I can't really walk, my house is somewhat of a mess (to my standards anyway)...but what do you do? Your husband is working hard in the basement (part of the mess) and as much as I'd LOVE to get all this baby stuff organized, I have no place TO organize it. I try to ignore the chaotic mess, now known as the guest room, soon to be baby's room while I "patiently" wait for the basement to be finished. So I thought I'd give you an update on my FAT kankle, because I'm sure all are just dying to know. (I must be bored if I'm sitting around taking pictures of stupid foot again...LAME (literally).

1. Went back to the doctor, NOT broken...
2. Got a really cool ankle brace to sport...
3. Still can't really walk well...
4. But have some cool colored bruises to show off...

My baby...for a few more weeks

Had to post this picture of my cute little Sammi because she's about to be booted out as the baby. People keep asking how she will handle it. Well, truth is, we don't think she'll even notice much. She has the most chill, mellow personality and we couldn't ask for a better pet. She will always be our little starter child and I love her...

Baby Shower

Baby Shower...Vintage Theme....LOVED it!
These little antique shoes were so precious
These little cupcakes were made by my crafty friend, Erin...so cute!!

Me & Mom...thanks for coming!
Me & Erin
Tara, Grandma Twila, Aunt Kay, Laura and Kim
Fellow UPSers: Leanne, Cindy, Mary Kay, me and Rhi
The shower throwers...Kim & Gail, thank you so much!

I had so much fun at my shower, it was so nice that so many people made time out of their day to come. I got lots of really adorable, fun little girl stuff. I can't wait to get it organized and in the nursery (basement still pending of course). I wish I had more pictures (there were lots more people not pictured), but Levi wasn't there to be the photographer :( ....but at least I got a few shots. Thanks so much to every one!

When you can no longer see your feet....

....apparently, you can no longer see dangerous curbs you need to step off of, and not fall off of. So, I fell off a curb, when I thought I was walking down the wheel chair ramp. No one saw me, so it saved some embarassment, but I also barely made it to my car to drive home. I have now spent an exhausting 4 days hobbling around and icing my ankle. I don't think I have rolled an ankle like this since high school basketball and I don't remember it being THIS bad. Not to mention the extra weight that went down on my ankle when I fell. It also doesn't help my gravity is thrown off by a large mass in the middle of my body and already having a hard time getting up and down. But now I am having to be totally dependable on one leg, that is now extremely tired after a busy, exciting weekend with my mom in town, baby shower and hanging out with family. However, being on crutches along with being 8 months pregnant, does get you a lot of sympathy. I went to the doctor, but they didn't want to do an x-ray because I am pregnant, but I'm sure it's just a bad sprain. They wanted to cast me, but I was like WHAT? Isn't there something else I can do? So they gave me a lace up ankle brace instead. Seriously did not want to deal with a stupid cast. So hopefully this heals over the next few days....it is getting really old and really lame.
I've been trying to avoid the kankles!

5 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary on June 11th. We were talking about how we can't believe it's been 5 years. It seems like it's gone by so fast, and here we are about to have our first baby. Not that there have not been hard times, but I think our love grows more every day. I married the most wonderful man in the world and am so excited we get to spend eternity together. We are excited for the change coming up in our lives in a few short weeks!
