So Levi got me a puppy for Christmas this year, a little girl shih tzu we named Sammi. She is a very sweet puppy, but I'm looking forward to her being potty trained already. Most people are probably shocked I got a dog...because most of you know, I don't really like animals. But some of you do know that I LOVE the Carlson's shih tzu named Scotty...I really just wanted to take him home. But since I probably shouldn't kidnap their dog, Levi got me my own. I figured we could start slow, prepare for kids and parenthood with a puppy!

Very Sad Day

For those of you who do not know, I was in an accident a couple of weeks ago. I was going straight across an intersection with a green light and another guy was across the intersection turning left. Obviously he did not yield to me and we ended up hitting each other. No one was hurt thankfully...but my favorite car suffered some pretty good damage, although it doesn't look that bad. The guy that hit me was hispanic, did not speak English and only had a Mexico driver's license...however he thankfully had valid insurance. After the insurance adjuster looked at my car, they determined it had over $9000 of damage and they wanted to total it. This was the night I went to clean out my car (I look sad, right?) so the insurance company could take it away. I was literally sitting in my car crying as I was cleaning it out....I'm going to miss that car so much! I got it as a present for high school graduation and thought I was going to have it forever and drive it into the ground...it was such a great car. So now the insurance company is giving us $14,900 for another car. We were shocked to get that much. Not bad for 6 year old car with 70,000 miles. Anyway, now the "fun" of shopping for a new car...or a new used car...I DON'T KNOW! I HATE making these kinds of decisions. Perhaps another Camery?

P.S. Don't worry Drew, I did get my BYU Alumni license plate holder off for my next car...although the other BYU plate holder was broken in the accident...sorry!

Christmas lights on our house have been an on going project for Levi. He's done a great job and he's loved every minute of it. Well, except when he tied himself to the roof with an extension cord in case he slipped and fell off, hopefully the cord would break the fall a bit....scary! Although it's less than 2 weeks away until Christmas, it doesn't quite seem like it. With UPS, things are just starting to get crazy...can't wait to suit up in my browns! haha, yeah right!

Random funny story: Levi's brother was teaching primary at church, the 5 year olds. During singing time, they were singing Away in a Manager and one of the little boys leaned over to him and said, "I have those action figures they're talking about in this song." Isn't that the cutest! He obviously is playing with his mom's nativity set at home...hope it's not breakable!
